All Animal Eye Services
Address Details

Eye certificates are performed at All Animal Eye Services to check breeding animals for inherited eye disease.

Eye Certificates conducted at All Animal Eye Services will be assessed under the Australian Canine Eye Scheme (ACES).

ACES is a national system for registered dog breeds, offering qualified certification for a range of congenital and inherited eye conditions.

All eye assessments are carried out by a registered veterinary eye specialist.

The scheme is administered by the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) to assure national quality standards.

The program is endorsed by the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) as a reliable screening service, valuable to dog breeders and new owners.

All dogs (including litters) presented for assessment must be microchipped with the number to be recorded on the ACES certificate.

Drops are used to dilate the pupils for the eye exam. These drops take about 10-15 minutes to take affect. They are only short acting and do not significantly affect the animal's vision.

It is up to the individual breeder and the breed club to decide whether to use the affected animal for breeding.
